Hello Bass Players! Already having a guitar staff pick of the day thread, we wanted to start this thread specifically focusing on bass lessons. As a staff, we hope to bring lessons to the forefront that may have escaped your attention :). Check back often for updates!

Today's pick:

Thursday, July 23rd, 2015
Evan Brewer - The Notes on the Fretboard
http://members.jamplay.com/bass/phase-1/lesson/3049-the-notes-on-the-fretboard

Of course, every bass player needs to know the notes on their instrument, sometimes even more so than guitar players! Evan breaks it down in this lesson and helps you realize it's not as daunting as it first may seem.

Larry Cook - Finding Notes on the Fretboard
http://members.jamplay.com/bass/phase-1/lesson/2856-finding-notes-on-the-fingerboard

Certainly you may want to play different pitches from time to time, or heck just different octaves of your roots and fifths. In this lesson, Larry walks you through how to find any note on the fretboard using common shapes you probably already use.
