Default Mic+guitar out to a single input amp?

Im new to equipment. Can I somehow put a mic plus my guitar pickup (1/4") out to single 1/4 input on my amp?

Or do I need separate amps for vocals and guitar? Or do I need a mixer?

zzzman, perhaps a splitter would work to take two inputs and go into one input on the amp. Not sure. However getting a good balance might be tricky. Like I said, I'm not really sure.

But, there amps that take vocal and guitar at same time, and are battery powered if you want to be on the street, or by campfire. Check this out...

    Roland Acoustic Amp

I have one of these Roland amps and it's a cool amp.

You could get a small mixer and put that out to any powered amp. Of course, as you probably know, amps/speakers can be designed to handle specific frequencies better than others. But check this out...

    A small mixer

I've worked with the x2442usb from Beringer. It's similar to the smaller one above. Very cool mixer. It didn't have any pad buttons, but we made due with inline pads.

Good luck, and keep me posted.

    Good day,
    Gamma
