Default An accumulation of what I have been learning here

This started out to be a session of practicing some of the licks I have learned on Eric Madis's Electric Blue course. But it turned into throwing in little 4 note melodies, or hooks, like I learned on Chris Liepe's Pentatonic Perfection, and Dave Walliman's Jam Tracks More Fun Less Theory. And "telling the story" which I also learned from the Jam Tracks course.

This is from lesson 5 on Oville Johnson's Blues Bottle Neck Slide series. It needs some work but it is a lot of fun.

I think I've seen most of the videos you've posted since you joined JP, and I must say that you're progressing quite nicely. Well done!
By the way, nice Boxcar. Been thinkin' about gettin' one myself. Although my wife thinks I have enough guitars already...is there such a thing as too many guitars???

I don't believe there is any such thing as too many guitars.

That resonator was only $399 and it sound awesome in person. Go on youtube and do a search on Gretsch 9240 Alligator review. You will see some awesome demonstrations. I am amazed at the quality of build for such a low price guitar. The resonator cone was built in Europe and the tuners are American made Grovers. Even the tuners have a vintage look to them. So really it's just the chassis that was made in China.

Lesson 7 in Orville Johnson's series. Sitting on top of the world.
