I didn't know Paul McCartney played the lead guitar in Sgt. Pepper.

Did you know that Eric Clapton played the lead in While My Guitar Gently Weeps on the Beatles White Album?

Interesting story, when I was 16 years old, 1977, my guitar teacher was putting together a recital with other students. I walked into the recital rehearsal at my scheduled time with a friend, who was also a guitar player. When we walked into the rehearsal I was mesmerized by the lead of the song currently being rehearsed. I looked at my friend and asked him is that a Eric Clapton tune? He said not exactly. The guitar player rehearsing when we walked in was playing "while my guitar gently weeps".

BTW, the guitar world article link I posted on Sgt Pepper, at the of the bottom of the article is a link to an article which has the isolated track of Eric Clapton playing on a Les Paul the main guitar part for "while my guitar gently weeps ". Here is the link: http://www.guitarworld.com/features-...ly-weeps/14575

Answering that last question made me think of perhaps a student and JamPlay opportunity. Perhaps at one of the holiday live events we could have some student recitals. This might be great for students and perhaps good for getting new students on JamPlay. Just brain storming/spit balling.

I think that is a great idea.
