    Default Chat issues and attiude

The attitude stems from retyping my thoughts and hope they hold long enough to be posted in chat. This has become redonkulous. A main feature of your service that works half the time - c'mon guys wtf? I've survived the chinese junk outages, all the patches and bandaids. But this retyping of every casual thought is fucking maddening. This is supposed to be a featured perk advertised on your your site - one I have paid for four years and cannot use with any confidence of reliability. This a serious detriment to the entire live instructor schedule. In my case it just pisses me off whenever - be it instructor chat time or just us inmates. It appears to me to be a glaring lack of giving a fuck. But please focus on giving guitars to greedy whisltedicks who will never sign up. Maybe hire support - or do you have to micro manage everything - Wanna know how well that method works out?

    Hi Slighter,

Sorry you feel this way. It is a serious issue and I/we care much about getting it fixed. There have been many things to deal with over the past month, and this is only one of them, so it hasn't had much of a resource allocation. As things free up into the new year, I am hoping more time can be allocated towards fixing this. I know it's easy to look at this situation from the outside and make assumptions about what we are doing, how we feel or how seriously we are taking a situation... but please remember, we are a small company and there is a lot going on. All we can do is fix things from biggest priority to least priority... and things like iOS10 breaking our ipad/iphone apps, and required updates to the payment systems, have taken precedence because they affect everyone and everything. It's unfortunate, it's sucky, and it's annoying... but that's the reality we are presented with.

Just as an aside, nobody working on the giveaway events do any of the programming, so these are completely separate. It's not like one is getting put off for the other. And as I am sure you can appreciate we don't have the luxury of suspending marketing in this day and age.

I'm guessing anyone who has been around computers knows what you're feeling and has sympathy. It's not just a JP thing.

Experience teaches to be suspicious of unpleasant surprises. Hard disk crashes, whatever. So you keep backups, right? In this case, just do a quick copy of your thoughts and paste them into a notebook window or even without pasting anywhere, just hold that copy until you see your thoughts make it through.

Slighter, A famous person once said "Profanity is the attempt of an feeble mind to express itself". I understand your frustration, but please do all of us a favor and don't use profanity on the site. You can get your message across just as well without it.

I will be moving to this soon, will keep you posted. It has always been a priority, but November and December have the tendency to ruin plans and consume my soul. Will reach out to you guys / regular JamChat crew when we start doing deployments. Sorry for the trouble. No problem on cussing. I deserve it.

An update from Chris Dawson: "I think I've found the issues with the chat, it has to do with promises in Javascript." Not sure if that's saying it will be fixed in a day or a month, but there is progress and understanding.
