Personally my favorite is Tal Farlow. The way he crafts his songs is nothing short of amazing. His version of Autumn Leaves is inspiring each time I hear it. I love Joe Pass, Wes, and Django too.

Wes Montgomery is my favorite Jazz guitarist. On the Trumpet, Miles Davis. John Coltrane on the saxophone is always a treat. There are others I really like, but those are the big 3 for me.

I can't pick a favorite, but here are some artists I listen to very often...

    Guitar:
Pat Metheny (saw him in concert outdoors on a beautiful summer night, so his music always makes me feel like summer)
Django Reinhardt (love Stephane Grappelli too)

    Others:
Michel Petrucciani (was lucky enough to see him perform in Detroit before he passed away)
Vince Guaraldi (A Charlie Brown Christmas is still one of my all-time favorite albums)
    Keith Jarrett
    John Coltrane
    Miles Davis

Oops, forgot to mention Steely Dan. Not sure if you want to call them "jazz", but labels aside, I love their music. Definitely my wife's favorite band. I love Larry Carlton's work with Steely Dan as well as his own work.

Wes; Ray Crawford; Emily Remler; Martin Taylor. I'm sure there are so many I've never come across yet.

I came here to say all of that. Tal was great.
