Head Bang PINK FLOYD 'WISH YOU WERE HERE' covered by johnnyrockit "QUEST FOR LIGHT"

In this installment "QUEST FOR LIGHT" series again Rockit is thinking of Tracy Rockit and how he misses her so much and recalls the Days before the great wars and Plays this cover of a song from one of the ancient bands he loves Pink Floyd called 'Wish You Were Here'. Also keep in mind rockit is in a learning process in Muzakk and has been attending jamplay.com the world's most awesome site for musicians and learning guitar since March 2012 so after a year rockit will re-do many of these songs in order to measure his progress with the great website and the musicians or Muzakk Knights that call it home.

Good effort there! Performing 'live' in front of a camera like that is tough.

I especially like the guitar tone. I'm sure you can polish it up great without too much more practice. I look forward to hearing the whole thing from beginning to end once you do.

Take a look at my recording of the same song if you like, see what you think: http://soundcloud.com/orion3t/wish-you-were-here-v1

    Keep us updated!

Looked at your soundcloud version and it's great! Yes you just couldn't imagine how difficult it is to do say live takes, as a lot of my video's are,(not all) and just put it up raw like I do and hope it fly's, in the future as I improve I do intend on re-making if you will and polishing off a lot of the stuff that I have done in the past you can take a look at an improvement by checking out the first Neil Young video I did here:

then take a look at the second one I did here:

and you can definately see a difference which is sorta've how I have decided to utilize the video productions I've been doing as a gage that I am going to be able to use over time to actually monitor my progress, even if I only put one a week or one a month it is going to be a real marker I can utilize to monitor progress with and it's a great teaching tool in a sense also if you think about it.
Thanks for your response and I will keep you updated or you can monitore johnnyrockit vids and stay abreast that way also...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ol2E...hannel&list=UL

Cool - I love that song too. I think the only thing you didn't quite nail was your timing in the first verse (unless it was a deliberate variation?) but you pulled it together nicely. I think timing is always the hardest thing when playing to a backing track! Which is why I encourage my son to practice to tracks, beats etc so when it comes to playing with others he will have that skill.

Do you have a tab for it, which you could send or link?

I quite like the crunchy approach. Especially love the guitar very cool!
